United Way of Williamson County is excited to announce
Day of Caring expanded to TWO DAYS! Faith in Action Georgetown is hosting projects on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17 9 a.m. to noon More than 75 volunteers are needed to make greeting cards for seniors and to spread the word about connecting seniors with rides. Individuals Families Corporate Groups FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 Brighten someone's day when you create thank you notes, birthday cards and get well cards for senior adults and volunteers. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 Lace up your walking shoes and help get the word out about ways to connect seniors with rides to the doctor or grocery store. Volunteers will canvas designated Georgetown neighborhoods and distribute flyers at the front doors of approximately 75 homes. Faith in Action Georgetown (FIAG) provides transportation and other volunteer services that aging Georgetown residents need to stay independent in their own homes. Last year, FIAG volunteers provided 5,644 transportation and other support services to Georgetown seniors.
